TED TALK:

An extremely interesting pattern is emerging on large sites like facebook, google, and even netflix. Data is being shown to you based on your interests/likes/browing patterns, resulting in an "custom edited" view of the internet.  Much like newspapers and television now only a handful of sites can "control" what we see.  The internet should not be isolated, It should be raw, unedited and definitely inconvenient.

We should be the sorters of information, and we as users should be deciding what’s relevant, NOT THEM.

This time you would draw the captcha instead of actually typing some random string of illegal characters.

Here is an awesome SCRIBD I bumped into the other day. I felt it gave a really good introduction to all three technologies, and helps to pinpoint their strengths. If you Look past the memes and silly slides and there is some really good stuff in there. :)

I recently was having problems with WAMP. It would white screen but still be online… I tried all the various troubleshoots starting from the bottom up with no luck. What I didn’t think about was the day before I installed skype onto my pc for an online meeting I was having. I thought nothing of it at the time…but it turns out that these two don’t play nice together. So I simply uninstalled skype and it instantly fixed everything.

One more reason for me to hate skype. JEEZ
